I love the Rose Years series and just finished book four. This is a follow-up to the classic Little House series by Laura Ingalls Wilder. The book I will review is On the Other Side of the Hill by Roger Lea Macbride. Before I start the summary of the book ( WARNING: If you don’t want some of the book spoiled, then don’t read the summary), I want you to see if you will like it with a couple of questions.

Summary
Rose Wilder goes to her first grown-up party at her rich, best friend, Blanche’s house. She calls haughty Lydia names and goes away from the party. When Effie is getting a baby, a cyclone strikes the Ozarks. Next, there is a fire and a terrible drought. Why do disasters have to keep hitting the Wilders?
I am on the 5th book, Little Town in the Ozarks. I can’t wait to read the next one, A New Dawn on Rocky Ridge.
