Thanksgiving and What I am Thankful For

In  2 days, it is Thanksgiving. I am so excited. We’re going up the central coast of California to the redwoods.

Turkey!! Yum!!

 

I am thankful for:

I am very thankful for God and Jesus.

My family.

I live in the U.S.A.

The military.

I live in California with nice neighbors and a nice neighborhood.

Good food and clothing.

I homeschool.

And many more blessings!!

I love Thanksgiving. It is a great holiday.

What is Thanksgiving?

First, the Pilgrims land in Plymouth. They landed in mid-November in 1620. The feast was a year after in 1621. The Pilgrims and Wopanogs had a harvest festival – “the first Thanksgiving”.  They had a feast of many foods we have on Thanksgiving. The pilgrims thanked God for all that he had given them.

So, that was a brief summary of the first Thanksgiving.
