D.I.Y. Feather Pen and Cute Box

🙂 hey guys! 🙂

It’s Kate back again. Today, I’m going to do a D.I.Y. that is awesome. I have never done a D.I.Y. post, but I have decided to do one. Now, here are 3 things I have to say:

  1. WE’RE ALMOST TO 50 FOLLOWERS. PLEASE FOLLOW ME. If you don’t I will die.(Maybe not.) Tell your friends and family to follow.
  2. Our site has been going through lots of changes. Some stuff will look weird, but we’re working on it.
  3. D.I.Y. means: Do It Yourself.

SO…. let’s do the D.I.Y.

Feather Pen

Supplies: Cute tape, a pen with a lid, feathers

With this craft, you turn a plain pen into a fancy pen.

STEPS:

  1. Take the pen cap off the pen.
  2. Put the bottom of the feathers about an inch below the top of the pen.
  3. Wrap tape around it. You may want to ask someone for help with that.
  4. Wrap the tape all the way down very tight so it looks good. You can do different colors and designs of tape.
  5. Once you reach the “valley” part of the pen, (3/4 of an inch before the point), rip the tape.
  6. Since you’ve finished the pen, it’s time to do the cap. All you do is wrap tape around it.

So that was the pen.

It should look something like this.

Cute Box

Supplies: Empty Altoid box, cute tape

This craft is close to the one we just did. It is good for storing jewelry, coins, hairbands, and small things.

STEPS:

  1. Pick a tape, and wrap it around the edges of the lid. Make sure not to get it on the bottom part.
  2. Put tape around the bottom part of the box.
  3. Put tape on the top of the box to cover the Altoids symbol.

And now you have your box.

This is what the box should turn out like.

I hope you guys enjoyed this post. If you did, give it a like, and follow me if you haven’t already. If you want me to do more D.I.Y posts, comment down below. Thanks!!! ❤

Q&A: Me Part 2!!!

You guys asked for it, and you guys got it. We received enough questions on Q&A: Me!!! to do another post. I also want to tell you two things.

  1. WE’RE ALMOST TO 50 FOLLOWERS, SO LET’S REACH IT! Tell your friends and family to follow me. Oh, and when we get it, I may have a giveaway.
  2. I’m sorry that our site has been going through some changes. I just got the “personal” plan and have been trying different themes.

So now let’s do the Q&A.

Q: What is your favorite MLB team, and who is your favorite baseball player? This question was from Mr. Poke E Mon.

A: The Angels are my favorite…..and favorite player….hmmm…..Shohei Ohtani. Well, also Mike Trout and Albert Pujols.

Q: Who is your favorite Star Wars character, and who is your least favorite one? This question was from Snoke Vader III.

A. My favorites are Luke Skywalker and Rey (Last name unknown). My least favorites are Rose and Snoke.

Q: Why did you start this blog.

A: I started this blog because I was in a blogging class at my homeschool co-op. My mom taught the class. 🙂

Q: What is your favorite song?

A: “Radioactive” and “Believer” by Imagine Dragons.

Q: What is your favorite subject, and what is your least favorite?

A: My favorites are writing and reading. But the writing has to be creative writing. My least favorites are IEW and math.

I hope you guys enjoyed my post and learned more about me. My Button Swap is open! If you have any more questions I will put them on this post and update it. Thanks! ❤

Easy Buttercream Icing

I’m back! Today, I’m going to write a post on a topic I’ve never done–a recipe. It’s easy buttercream icing! I make this sometimes and love it. It is delicious! Serving 12 people, it takes 10 minutes to make. This icing has ingredients that most everybody has at their house.

Ingredients:

  • cups of powdered sugar
  • 1/3 cup of softened butter or margarine
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons of vanilla
  • 1 to 2 tablespoons of milk

The Makings

  • In a medium bowl, mix the powdered sugar and butter/margarine with a beater at low. Next, stir in vanilla and one tablespoon of milk.
  • Beat until you have smooth icing with no lumps. If it is thick, then use that extra tablespoon of milk. If the icing becomes too thin, beat in a little bit of powdered sugar.
