New England Trip: Herreshoff Museum

On day 2, we went to the Herreshoff (Pronounced Her-Zoff) Museum. The Herreshoff brothers were yacht builders for many boats in the America’s Cup races. It had many sailboats. We started off with a little history. John Herreshoff, who was the mastermind behind all of it, was blind. His brother helped him.

After that, we went into 3 sailboats! They were super cool. I think I liked the first one the most. It was still furnished and the biggest. I still loved the other two, though.

After that, we explored a little and watched a movie about the Herreshoff’s company. When we watched it, I understood more about what our tour guide was talking about.

After the tour, we went to our grandparents’ house and ate burgers, hotdogs, and sausages.

cheers

It was a super fun day!

New England Trip: Travel Days

I just got back from my trip to New England. Here are my two travels days!

Day 1 (6/19/18):

We woke up at 2:44 in the morning! It was bad. We were in bed for about 15 minutes and then ate breakfast. We left our house at 3:30 and drove to LAX! We arrived around 4:20 AM. After that, we checked in our bags and went through security. I was very tired. We finally took off. When we reached Baltimore, we couldn’t land because of the weather. We didn’t have enough fuel to keep circling so we went to the Pittsburgh airport to get some. We were there for about an hour! Finally, we made it to Baltimore, and what was a 3-hour layover turned into a 45 minute one! We caught our flight and finally made it to Providence. YAY!

Day 8 (6/27/18):

Now it’s our last day. The day you feel happy and sad. You’re sad to not be on vacation but happy to get home. So, we boarded at 4:25 PM EST, and got to Baltimore around 6:00 PM CST. We arrived in LA at about 9:00 PM PST. We were so tired and didn’t get back to our house until MIDNIGHT! WHAAAAA!!!!

Carnival Cruise to Mexico: Part 5

Our 2 last days at sea were super fun! Sadly, by the end of the week, our cruise came to an end.

Day 6:

We started off the day by eating breakfast. We ate at the Sea Day Brunch. We usually ate at the buffet, but since it was the last day of it being open, we ate there. My appetizer was a bagel. My main course/entree was CHOCOLATE CHIP PANCAKES WITH CHOCOLATE SAUCE! It was veeeery yummy. After that, we went to the library and played games.  Next, we went to the ship Q&A. My Mom asked our cruise director, Alex, if he could take us up to the Bridge. He made a call, and the captain said yes. We got to go through all of the crew only areas, and finally made it to the Bridge. It was really big and spacious, and there were so many computers. The steering wheel itself was puny! It was smaller than a car steering wheel.

After that, we rode the water slide and did other activities. It was finally time for another formal night in the dining room. I got 2 desserts, baked Alaska and sherbert. We also watched a lip sync battle. Then, we went to bed.

Day 7:

Day 7 was the day our ship docked! We ate a yummy, last breakfast on the ship and waited to get off the boat. Our Dad picked us up, and we drove back home.

And that, my friends, is the close of our cruise.

The End
