We arrived in Silverado Canyon for a survival field trip which included building a shelter.
In front of our shelter.
We learned about what we could eat if we were lost. Also, we saw a swarm of bees moving their home and protecting the queen bee.
We walked a little bit on the pavement and followed a narrow path to a clearing.
At the clearing, we collected big sticks to make a shelter. It was very hard. First, we had to take the biggest stick and tie it to smaller sticks. Then, we put branches as walls and piled them up till there were no more cracks. After that, we put on leaves to fill in the holes. All of us went into the shelter, but the oak leaves hurt.
We had a great day and did not encounter any rattlesnakes. Thank you for stopping by CommuniKate!!
A couple days ago, we enjoyed Disneyland with our friends for the Halloween celebration.

We received Fastpasses to Ghost Galaxy and rode the Haunted Mansion Holiday. It was one of my friend’s first times, but she liked it. Even though there was a fifty minute wait, it was worth it. First, we ventured into the Stretchy Room. It is an elevator that leads underground. On the ride, we saw dancing ghosts wearing Christmas hats. Additionally, we saw some singing flowers.

After that, we headed over to Small World. Our friends came out to meet us.
While they were talking, we skipped over to the to Clarabelle’s hand-scooped ice cream shop in California Adventure. You can get one big scoop for $4.99. Also you can get two big scoops for $5.49. It comes with a waffle cone or cup for no charge. As we were eating our ice cream, we met our friends.

After that, we rode California Screamin’. To our surprise, we got to ride it two times because the line was short.
Next, we rode Toy Story Mania. It feels like you are in a 3-d video game arcade. I earned a bird. It is the 3rd level.
Next, we rode the Golden Zephyr. I took a video, but it didn’t turn out good because it was dark.

After that, we rode Jumping Jellyfish where you go up and down like Tower of Terror. It is slower and smaller, though. Last of all, we rode Ghost Galaxy and walked to the car. What is Ghost Galaxy? Click this link to read my previous post about it.
We adventured to Disneyland a couple days ago for the Halloween celebration!
First, we rode Ghost Galaxy in Tomorrowland.
In front of Ghost Galaxy
It was only a 20 minute wait and very different from Hyperspace Mountain. In Hyperspace Mountain, there are ships in a battle, but in this there is a ghoul attacking you.

Next, we hopped onto the 15 minute line of Star Tours. We experienced the Hoth battle in a 4-D ride. An AT-AT almost smashed our ship, and we fell down a cliff. After that, we met some friends in Frontierland.
We zoomed over to the Haunted Mansion and received Fastpasses. Then, we rode Indiana Jones Adventure. I got the steering wheel. (Too bad for me because I’m not a good driver. The wheel is fake, though.) I have to say the Indiana Jones line is great. There’s so much scenery like the cave and the poles that make noise. The ride is super fun.
After that, we rode the Haunted Mansion Holiday featuring The Nightmare Before Christmas story. They only change it for Halloween and Christmas. There were ghosts dancing at a party, and it smelled like ginger bread. We also saw a lady’s head in a ball talking.

For a snack, we glided to Ghirardelli in California Adventure. I received a vanilla milkshake with whipped cream and a cherry. It was very rich and creamy. Excitedly, we whooshed to the Annual Passholders’ lounge. We met Meeko from the movie, Pocahontas. Finally, we rode Monster Inc. There was no line except for one family in front of us. We staggered to our car and drove home. We had such a fun time!
